The premise of Acclamation! is simple and direct: it is meant to be a joyous and energetic representation of the word "acclamation", which means "a loud shout of good will or applause, or an expression of approval by shouts, hand-clapping, or other noisy means".

The "shouts of good will" and "approval by hand-clapping" is most evident in the relentless repetition of double repeated notes and accented punctuations. Other interruptions and disruptions are placed throughout to create other "noisy means".

This acclaim is, of course, for the 60th anniversary of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra...let us all acclaim a musical organization that can survive 60 years!
